Why This Site Was Created

We felt there was a need for a place where a Pittsburgh Knitter could go to find out what was happening in the local knitting community. In the beginning we planned just to let people know when and where the local groups and guilds met but we decided to expand to have a listing of stores and other resources. We have included all of the Knit-togethers and places we knew of but if you would like your group or knitting related business listed please get in touch with us.

We HIGHLY recommend folks check out the newest knitting phenomena - Ravelry. It's a wonderful resource for all knitters, crocheters, spinners, and other fiber artists!

To be up front, Martha owns Natural Stitches and Carla is the main teacher there, but we will ALWAYS keep this site open to any knitting venue in the Pittsburgh area.
